Actor Peter Facinelli made an important point at the 11th annual Costume Designers Guild Awards when he showed up on the red carpet for the soiree dressed in socks, shoes and underwear. Showing his appreciation for those who dress up actors in their on-screen finery, the Twilight star braved the cold in his skivvies.
Host for the evening’s ceremonies, Debra Messing went the opposite route, stepping out in an art-deco-looking gown with intricate beading and a plunging neckline. Her costume change was into something more haute couture, a strapless frock with a dramatic piece of jewelry that resembled a garland of silver leaves. Her turn as a brightly-colored 50s housewife was just as fun.
Sex and the City‘s Kristen Davis kept it simple and sexy in a halter-top red dress that flared out in an A-line. Oh yes, and let’s not forget the cougarest of all the cougars in the land. Sharon Stone was there in a light-purple, a shocking departure from her beloved animal print.
