Though fashion genius Alexander McQueen passed away in February 2010, his presence is felt now more than ever, thanks to Sarah Burton. The brand’s creative director carried on the tradition of gorgeous pieces and earned a place in history when she created Catherine Middleton‘s gown for the royal wedding.
Everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker to Kylie Minogue paid tribute to the late McQueen by wearing his designs on the red carpet in 2011. On May 2nd, The Met Costume Institute Ball paid tribute with the exhibit, “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty,” with Chloe Sevigny and Salma Hayek dressing themselves in gorgeous designs by the House of McQueen.
Take a spin through our gallery and let us know which gown was your favorite. Naturally, our pick is Catherine’s gown.
