Jamie Dornan Modeling

If you’ve been living under a rock for the past 24-ish ours, it’s possible you missed the news that hottie Jamie Dornan has been cast as Christian Grey in the upcoming adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey.

OK, so it hasn’t been totally confirmed, but it’s basically happening.

In honor of Jamie’s (probable) casting, we’ve complied a list of 10 reasons we’re super excited he’s taken on the role. And what better way to do it than with GIFs! Check out our reasons after the jump and leave us your own in the comments!

1. Do we need more reasons that Jamie Dornan’s smile? We do? OK.

2. The way his beard seems to have been magically placed on his face. (I am aware Christian doesn’t have one, but I mean, look at it.)

3. His perfectly coiffed hair mixed with his “Bitch, you serious?” face.

4. He looks good in black & white.

5. He understands that tears are sometimes necessary. (Also, anyone else totally digging the ginger hair?)

6. His smolder. OMFG, his smolder.

7. His ability to convincingly shed a tear.

8. I won’t lie guys, I’m really impressed that he can wear a shirt with that open of a neckline. #Skills

9. SHIRTLESS JAMIE DORNAN!

10. And finally, because he kisses women like this. Let that sink in for a few minutes. Allow it to infiltrate your dreams.

  1. can I just say, …. “whatever” ? R.I.P. Fifty Shades of Grey – the Movie ….

  2. Matt Bomer will always be my Christian Grey… in my own fantasies. I love him for so many reasons. Having said that, what I do know (and admire) about Matt Bomer is that he is far too wise, too talented and too busy with other more meaningful and powerful roles to um, dare I say lower himself to take part in this JOKE of a movie? Can’t wait to see HIM in The Normal Heart, the Montgomery Clift biopic, Spacestation 76, and hopefully … many more seasons of WHITE COLLAR ! I don’t know anything about Jamie Dornan, but I wish him and Dakota the very best.
