But Bey isn’t the only musical performer to put on a crazy good show at the Super Bowl. Since the late 80s and early 90s all the hottest bands have hit the Super Bowl stage to rock the halftime show. In honor of those brave men and women of the music world, we at SOCIALITE LIFE have put together a list of 10 of the most entertaining performances.
Some are incredible, like Michael Jackson’s 1993 show, and some are just plain bizarre, like in 1991 when small children reenacted “It’s A Small World.” Check out our 10 favorite after the jump!

10. Super Bowl XXV, 1991.
This performance features New Kids On The Block and a whole bunch of children celebrating the world. Specifically, how “It’s A Small World.” Keep in mind, Disney produced this one.
9. Super Bowl XXVII, 1993.
Michael Jackson’s 1993 performance was really a game changer when it came to Super Bowl shows. The man knew how to put on an incredible one.
8. Super Bowl XXIX, 1995.
Disney also produced this gem for the Super Bowl. It features Indiana Jones trying to steal the Vince Lombardi trophy from the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. It’s weird and awesome. Enjoy.
7. Super Bowl XXXIII, 1999.
Talk about a rocking show! This one features Gloria Estefan, Stevie Wonder and KISS among a myriad of other performers.
6. Super Bowl XXXIV, 2000.
Ready for this? This one was called the “Tapestry of Nations” and was also produced by Disney. Enjoy an young Christina Aguilera singing “Reflection” from Mulan.
5. Super Bowl XXXV, 2001.
Alright guys, this is my personal favorite halftime show. It was produced by MTV and features NSYNC, Britney Spears and Aerosmith. Like, it’s just so good.
4. Super Bowl XXXVIII, 2004.
The halftime show heard round the world! 2004 was not only an awesome show, but it was also the year of the famous Janet Jackson “wardrobe malfunction.” You just need to watch it to appreciate Justin Timberlake being awesome.
3. Super Bowl XL, 2006.
So, The Rolling Stones might be old, but my god do they still know how to rock. I dare you to try and not start dancing and singing along. Just try.
2. Super Bowl XLIV, 2010.
Guys, The Who. What more do you need for a crazy cool halftime show than the people who created a spectacle every time they performed? Also, any chance to sing along to “Baba O’Riley” is fine by me.

And finally, the lady that needs no introduction, Madonna. Her performance was intense and varied and overall a good time. Plus, she’s Madonna!
